REVIEW: BOURJOIS BRONZING PRIMER

Hi everyone!

I have another review for you all today on the Bourjois Bronzing Primer. As you might know, if you read my review on the Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki brush, I've recently tried this bronzing primer as my cousin bought me it for my birthday last month.

For contour, I really prefer to use a cream based bronzer as I feel it's easier to work with and blend with. It also doesn't leave that dreaded muddy mark we all freak out about when we've just finished our makeup routine and then spend 20 minutes trying to repair the damage...or is that just me?

Anyway, I've tried SEVENTEEN's Instant Glow Tan bronzing cream which I really love and Sonia Kashuk's bronzing cream which is so lovely however I do like to try new things where makeup is concerned and so I thought I'd give this a bash.

When I opened it, it's less like a cream and more like a whipped mousse...think Dream Matte Mousse formula but a bit more whipped and you'll get the right idea.

They only sell it in one shade which made me wonder if it would be too dark for my pale skin, but it's not. If you're a bit on the pale side, simply use less. I spoke in a previous post about using it with my new Sigma F80 so I really recommend pairing them both up and trying that out - both used together makes the application process a very speedy one, which is great if you're in a rush! I also love applying this with a beauty blender as it gives a very natural look and blends in super well.

Also, as this is bronzing "primer", the idea is that you can apply this under your foundation so that when you put a light layer of foundation on, the bronzed glow will come through, looking ultra natural, which is lovely if you want to create that defined cheekbone without it looking heavy or too made up! I usually just use it over my foundation but in the summer, I'll definitely be using it under instead!

A little perk to this product before I go is that as Bourjois is owned by Chanel, this product is highly compared to Chanel's Soleil Tan De Chanel bronzing cream! I haven't tried that product, but I've seen a lot of reviews saying it's a great dupe and some even say it's better than the Chanel one, but I can't vouch for that!

Thank you all for reading and I hope you like it as much as I do if you decide to try it!

Adlet's New Brand Promotion Service & Sweet Cecily's Elderflower & Almond Hand Cream

Hi everyone!

Today's post is a review on a wonderful hand cream I was sent through Adlet's new Brand Product Review service.

If you haven't heard of Adlet, I have a few posts all about it linked here and here. Adlet offers bloggers and brands to collaborate by brands purchasing ad spaces on blogs, but a new service Adlet has introduced furthers the ability for bloggers and brands to collaborate. This service allows brands to publish products on Adlet's site for bloggers to pitch to review. So if you're a blogger, make sure you're signed up to Adlet (all free!) and you can start working with brands right away, whether it's by selling ad spaces or reviewing products! Here's a little post on the Adlet blog on how this new service works with a step-by-step guide.

Now, onto the product!

This Sweet Cecily's Elderflower & Almond hand cream is so perfect for me, it's unreal! I've got very dry hands and extreme dry patches around the knuckles at times... one of those times being now. This cream soothes the dryness with its silky smooth formula and I am in love with the scent of this hand cream! I used it in the office last week and kept opening it every now and again to apply the hand cream just so I could smell the divine scent (and getting silky smooth hands into the bargain!) I can only describe the scent as what it's like when you walk into a candle shop... utter bliss! Also, all of their products are not tested on animals and are free from parabens which is amazing!

I highly recommend this hand cream and I'd also recommend checking out their site because it's super unique and quirky!

Don't forget to check out Adlet's new service before you go, it's definitely worth it!

American Interior Inspiration!

Hello readers!

Today's post is all about interior inspiration all the way from America. My favourite place to get inspiration from is America as their style and taste is on such a grand scale it's impossible not to find it extravagant and inspiring!

I've recently moved house so redecorating needs a lot of motivation and inspiration so I was excited to see what new styles America had to offer and I was not disappointed!

When I got to the first store, Pottery Barn in the Mall at Millenia, I was in awe by the grandness and the presentation of their display showrooms. Before I went away, I'd been thinking about what colour theme to decorate my room in and I decided grey and cream was a possible option so when I got to Pottery Barn and saw that a lot of their show bedrooms were decorated in grey and cream, I knew 100% to go for those colours as a theme.

Here's a picture I took of one of the display bedrooms:

I love the contrast of the cream walls with the dark wooden floor combined with a subtle grey theme. I think it looks extremely classy and elegant and it's also something that won't date - in my opinion!

I know I'll definitely take this layout and colour theme into consideration when I'm decorating my bedroom!

What do you think of this look? Let me know!

Thanks for reading!
