LANCOME HYPNOSE DOLL EYES MASCARA

Lancome Hypenose Doll Eyes

Hello everyone!

Here's a little & quick review of a mascara I've been loving ever since I tried it. It's the Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara. It comes in a set with an eyeliner and eye makeup remover too!

What is so special about this mascara? The wand. I have awful trouble finding a mascara with a great wand on it. This wand is amazing because it's thick on one end and goes narrow toward the other, making it super easy to get into those awkward eyelashes hiding in the corner. It also makes the bottom lash process a heck of a lot easier and quicker!

Lancome

I've tried a lot of mascaras in my time... A lot. One of my favourites being L'Oreal's Million Lashes and I thought nothing could ever come as close but this one does! It's honestly amazing. Stays all day, doesn't smudge, doesn't budge. As you can see from the image above, it's looking a bit worse for wear but that shows you how much I use it. In fact, I've now run out of it so it could definitely go in my empties post!

The price is approximately £20-£22 so even though it's a bit pricey, it's well worth it!

What are your favourite mascaras?

CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE : BEAUTY EDITION

Christmas

Christmas is rapidly approaching and I don't like how quick it's coming! Christmas is my favourite time of year so I really like to enjoy it and make the most of it, but it's just flying by!

As the days are whittling by so quickly, I thought it would be helpful if I put together a bit of a gift guide/idea post to help you out if you're struggling to find time to actually look for presents for friends and family!

First of all we'll get stuck into some beauty products!

Foundations:

Obviously this is quite a difficult one because you really need to know the shade of the person you are buying for as this is so difficult to get right if they're not with you to choose. If you're lucky and you know the colour (although the shade and colours do change depending on the brand!) then here's a couple of my favourite drugstore foundations:

  1. L'Oreal Infallible 24H Foundation  - £9.99
  2. L'Oreal Nutri Lift Gold Foundation - £14.99

Concealers
  1. Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer Light - £7.99
  2. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - £4.19
(Side-note: I love the lightest shade in both of these concealers as they make awesome highlighters!)

LancĂ´me Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara Gift Set - £22.50

Lancome Doll Eyes Hypnose Lovely Eyes

I was lucky enough to trial this product and I absolutely love it! The mascara wand is something which allows me to get right into the lash bed and really grip each individual lash without it appearing clumpy or getting mascara all over your eyelids (which I can't stand!). After one coat, it gives you a lovely natural look but when you apply a couple of layers, you'll really get that doll effect finish which the product claims to give you!

I definitely recommend this product! It makes for a wonderful Christmas Gift Set or even if you're looking for a new mascara and eyeliner!

  2. Elf Baked Eyeshadow - Toasted - £3 (approx)

I hope you found this post helpful if you're looking for gifts to buy or even if you fancy a new product to add on your Christmas wishlist!

In the next couple of days I'll be posting a Fashion Christmas Gift Guide and also a Random Christmas Gift Guide which will include...you guessed it... random things but still awesome nonetheless!

Stay tuned and hope to see you back here soon!

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette: Dupe edition!

Hi readers!

I've got a dupe post for you today which features the W7 range eye shadow palette called 'In The Buff Eyeshadow Palette'.

First of all, the colours within this palette are completely up my street. I always wear a bronzed/gold-ish eye shadow and love how this palette has every bronzed shade you could possibly want. From light golds to deep metallic browns, I love the colour range and feel you can create as great a smokey bronzed eye as if you were using something like Urban Decay's 'Naked 2 Palette'.

I do love the colour range in the 'Naked 2 Palette' but I feel like paying £37 (approx) for an eye shadow palette, isn't for me so this W7 palette which cost me £5.99 was a definite bargain and one of my must buys! It also has fantastic staying power. It lasts all day long and I don't ever wear an eye shadow primer or anything, so keep that in mind also!

Here's a close up of the colours:

I purchased this product in my local independent makeup shop where I live, but you can buy this anywhere that stocks the W7 range. I've found a website (which I've not used so I'm not sponsored!) where you can get it a bit cheaper for £4.45 here!

I really do recommend you try out this product as it'll save you money and works just as great as any high end product, in my opinion!

Have you tried this product? What did you think?

Thanks for reading this post!

The bronzer you absolutely must try!

Hi everyone!

So another product I purchased in Florida was the Sonia Kashuk Undetectable Cream Bronzer in the colour Warm Tan.

First of all I really, really love this bronzer. I didn't think I'd find an affordable cream bronzer that I love as much as the SEVENTEEN cream bronzer, but this has definitely topped it!

I love that this bronzer has a lovely tan shade to give you a healthy glow without it being too dark or orange-y but at the same time, it gives a slight pink tone so it kind of works like a blusher and bronzer in one.

As I mentioned, this bronzer is definitely affordable at $10.99 from Target. I always do a huge Sonia Kashuk haul whenever I'm in America because I'm not sure that the UK sells any of her products, at least they don't where I live in the UK - if you know of a UK site which sells Sonia Kashuk products, please let me know!!

A lot of people apply cream bronzers with brushes however my favourite way to apply any cream bronzer (especially this one!) is by using a damp beauty blender! By using a damp beauty blender, you'll get a great coverage without it being too contoured, it will go on evenly and its so simple to rectify if you make a little mistake! If you are using a beauty blender, make sure it is damp, not too soaked and not too dry because neither will work well!

I hope this post was helpful and you decide to try out this bronzer! I've been excited to try it for awhile and now that I have, I don't want to use any other bronzer!

Thanks for reading!

This Week's Bargain Buys

Hi!

First of all, I just want to apologise for the lack of posts this week, I think I've posted only once! I've just moved house so things are very hectic and crazy but I'm trying to get as many posts up as possible!

This week I've bought a couple of great bargains which I'll share with you in this post! I hope you enjoy!

Hair:

Got2b Glued Blasting Freeze Spray

I'll start with my favourite hairspray and that is the Got2b Glued Blasting Freeze Spray. I can't tell you the amount of times I repurchase this because it must be at least 100 times, no joke! I know that this hairspray is used by males also but it's such a great, long lasting, super strong, immense hold that I really don't care, if it works, it works and it definitely works. I could be in the middle of a hurricane or a rainstorm and nothing would move. I'm not exaggerating either so if you're looking for that super strong hold then look no further!

Freeze Spray

You can get this spray in Boots, Tesco, Superdrug, Savers... you get the idea but the place I always buy it from is Savers because everywhere else sells it for about £4+ and Savers sell it for £2.64 (approx) however this week, Superdrug had a sale on and I got it for £1.99 so of course, I bought five... I would have bought more but I cleared the shelf!

Face:

Simple Radiance Brightening Facial Wash

The next product is something I've just purchased for the first time and that is the Simple Radiance Brightening Facial Wash! I bought this for £1.99 in Home Bargains so it was definitely a bargain! I used this product this morning and I honestly couldn't see much improvement in how radiant my face looked, but I have very red skin so I'm not sure if the redness just covered it!

Facial Wash

It also claims to have a mango scent, which I struggled to find. It definitely had a fruity scent but I wasn't overly keen on it! The positives of this product however was that it left my face feeling firmer and my primer went on a lot better than it usually does so I'll definitely keep using it just for those factors if nothing else!

Eyes:

Eyes

Collection Extreme 24Hr Felt Tip Liner

This product is the Collection Extreme 24Hr Felt Tip Liner and is one that I've used before and it lasted a heck of a long time. It probably wasn't overly hygienic for the amount of time I actually used it but hey ho! I love how not only does it lasts for a long time (in relation to over a period of time) but it also lasts all day long! The nib on it is like a felt-tip marker which is extremely precise and easy to apply. It also doesn't do that annoying thing where you apply it, open your eyelid and it's transferred to the top of your eyelid where you've just applied your eye shadow! I think this only cost me about £2.99 which is fantastic value in my opinion for its quality!

Eye Liner

This product is the Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil. Ever since I started incorporating my eyebrow routine into my makeup routine, I've used the same eyebrow pencil however I just remember finding it at the bottom of my makeup bag with the writing on the side of it worn off so now that I'm getting pretty down to the end of it, I've been trying to find it in places like Superdrug and Boots but to no avail. Yesterday I was looking in the Rimmel section and came across the exact eyebrow pencil and was so happy I'd found it! As I'm very fair and my hair is a brownish/blonde/redish colour, I find that the colour "Hazel" fits me best and for £2.99, you can't go wrong!

Eyebrow Pencil

There we are! I hope you enjoyed this post and try one or two of the products I've talked about! I'm sure you'll love them as much as I do!

Have you bought any bargains recently?

Mascaras That Are Worth Your Money!

Hello!

I've bought two new mascaras recently; one waterproof and one non-waterproof. I hate waterproof mascara and I only bought it under the impression it was non-waterproof (obviously didn't read the label!) so when I went to wash my mascara off that night, I was wondering why I struggled to get it off! However, this Spring/Summer I've suffered badly with hay fever and pet allergies which causes my eyes to water non-stop, so I guess in a round-about way, it worked out!

So I'll start on the waterproof mascara:

This is Collection's Volumising Mascara you can find here for £3.99. I can 100% say that it is waterproof, and you'll need a good eye makeup remover to get this off as soap and water just doesn't do it!

I love the brush as its really long and thick which is obviously great as this helps with the volumising of your lashes!

So already its promise to be volumising is living up-to its claim! It lasts all day long and all in all I highly recommend this product if you're looking for a budget, waterproof, volumising mascara!

Non-waterproof Mascara:

I love L'Oreal mascaras. I think they're great quality, lovely packaging and lasts a great length of time (during the day and also over the months!). I've tried lots of their mascaras and have been extremely happy with each one! The one I decided to purchase this time, however, is the new L'Oreal Paris Million Lashes So Couture mascara you can see here, which I bought for £7.99 as there is currently an offer on, however its regular price is £10.99!

I usually (like I said before) prefer a thicker, long brush but this one has the little fish teeth kind of brush (not sure if that's the correct name but that's what I call it!) and was a little bit hesitant as to whether I'd like it but when I did try it, I was extremely impressed!

As the brush it smaller, it allows you to apply it more precise and coat each eyelash well and thoroughly! The part of the bottle that usually takes off the excess mascara from the brush (I hope that made sense?) doesn't take much of the excess off the brush in this mascara, which I find nice in a way as there is more mascara on the brush so you don't have to keep going back for more, so that saves time too!

All in all, my favourite mascara here is the L'Oreal So Couture Mascara as I just love L'Oreal mascaras but if waterproof is your thing, then I definitely recommend Collection's Volumising Mascara!

I hope this little product review helps! Let me know of any mascaras you love and would repurchase over and over again!

Thanks for reading!

My Top Drugstore Beauty Must Haves!

Hello!

I hope you enjoy my must have drugstore beauty products!!

Whilst I do love high end products (who doesn't?) I can't help but stick to drugstore products! Not just because they are much more affordable, but because they are great buys!

This post is going to be my top beauty must haves; products that I use on a daily basis and they are ALL drugstore products!

I have tried to pick two of the same product, but different brands to give you a bit more variation but I will mention which are my favourites!

Foundations:

Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation - I absolutely love this product! I love the colour range they have as I like to mix foundations and I love shade 52 and 53. If they are a little bit dark, I'll mix a bit of 51 in there too! I cannot count the amount of times I have repurchased this product. I love how it is compared to Chanel foundations because the owner is actually Chanel! The price is usually £9.99 which isn't too bad as the foundation is amazing. It is a medium coverage but definitely build-able to a full coverage without leaving a cakey or thick look as it has a satin finish. Probably not great for oily skin as it does leave a subtle dewy finish to the skin, but as I have more dry skin, I think this product is great. As you can tell, I can't rave enough about it, so I highly recommend this product! It's been a staple foundation of mine for a very long time and I can't see that changing for awhile!

Rimmel 25 hour foundation: I do love this product and I always find myself repurchasing it much like the Bourjois Healthy Mix! As I have a bit of facial redness, I use this as a base to cover up the stronger pigments on my face and it does the job well! It varies in price and I have seen myself picking it up for £4.98 in some places but does range up to about £7.99. When it is £7.99 I will probably wait until it comes down in price, with the knowledge that if I hang on for awhile, I'll get it cheaper! The colour range is great and I would say it is a medium to full coverage but I would start with a little amount and work it up rather than go straight in with a lot of it! I can't say it stays on for 25 hours as it claims, but it does stay on for a good length of time!

Concealers:

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer: I along with the majority of people who have reviewed this product, only have great things to say about it! I love this product for my contouring and highlighting process! I always buy the shade Fair and even though it is quite light, it makes a perfect highlighter! It has a lovely creamy, thick (but in a good way) consistency and has extremely long staying power! The price is usually £4.19 which I am happy to pay as it such a good concealer!

Revlon PhotoReady concealer: This product has a lovely satin effect on the skin! I think I bought the lightest shade to try highlighting with it but it wasn't quite light enough for me. It also isn't as highly pigmented as the Collection concealer so I found myself having to put quite a lot on to get it to work! It has quite a natural finish though which is great for days you don't feel like doing the whole contouring and highlighting process! I think it was about £6.49 which isn't a bad price at all but I do prefer the Collection concealer!

Highlighter:

I have only one favourite highlighter and that is NYC's eyeshadow in the colour 917. Only a little bit is needed because it is highly pigmented! I used to use MUA's eyeshadow in Pearl 1 (I think it was called) but I think they've discontinued it unfortunately! This NYC eyeshadow is only £1.79 which is amazing for the pigmentation it has!

Primers:

Here, I have no favourites as I love them both the same and here's why:

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 hour Foundation I love this primer! I think it is better suited to drier skin, which is what I have, so I can't really give my opinion for oilier skin! It definitely keeps my makeup put throughout the day and even when I'm washing my makeup off, it is still somewhat in tact which is great! This primer is usually about £6.99 but I like to wait until there's a promotion on in Superdrug or Boots, which comes around quite often!

Max Factor Facefinity All Day Primer – I was recently bought this primer for my birthday and I love it! I love how it acts as a sort of glue so it makes your makeup stay put! I can't choose between this or the Rimmel so I'm gonna have to say I can't pick a favourite! This primer has only recently came on the market but I really do love it!

Eyes:

Okay, here I have one eye liner and one liquid eye liner, so there are no comparisons, I love them both equally and here's why:

Collection Eye Definer: I find this eye liner so easy to put on, its not rough on my water line and stays on for a long time! The price is £2.79 which I think is a fair price! I like to use brown instead of black because for my skintone, brown is less severe. I also like to smudge the eye liner once it is on as it makes it less harsh and gives it a softer look!

Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner: This is my favourite liquid eye liner as it has a felt tip nib which allows a more precise application and the best thing about it is that you don't have to wait for it to dry as it dries instantly! The price is £2.99 which I am happy to pay as it lasts a very long time, which is another plus!

Bronzers:

Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder : I love this bronzer, I think it has such a lovely natural colour without many shimmers which can have an unnatural effect on your makeup! This has been my favourite bronzer for awhile but sometimes I still struggle when it comes to blending as it can sometimes leave a muddy effect, but if you have time to be precise then I don't think you can go wrong with this bronzer! The price is £7.99 which is quite good for a brand as good as Bourjois!

SEVENTEEN Instant Glow tan Cream Bronzer: This is a recent purchase of mine and I cannot stop singing its praises! It is a cream bronzer which I was a little bit dubious of when I was purchasing but I am so glad I did! I apply this after I have set my foundation and concealer with a powder, I apply it with a damp beauty blender (same as how I apply all of my face makeup) and it gives it such a natural and glowing look and it only takes a minute to apply! I seriously recommend this! The price is only £4.99 which I find amazing value!

On the top of my hand is the NYC highlighter,

Left is the cream bronzer from SEVENTEEN,
Middle is Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation,
Right is Collection concealer.

Hope you all enjoyed this post and that it was helpful! Let me know what you think of these products if you have tried them or if you have any drugstore products you love!
